Nancy's teaching career spans 34 years, all of which have been in Florida public schools. She currently teaches Algebra, at Olympia
High School, in Orlando, Florida, within the Orange County school system where she has taught for 26 years. She also taught for 5 years in Okaloosa County and for 3 years in Marion County. During her 34 years of
teaching, 29 years have been dedicated to teaching Algebra and Pre-Algebra to students 12-15 years of age. Since 1994, Nancy has held a master's degree in math education from the University of Central Florida, in
Orlando. She received her bachelor's degree in 1971 from Alma College, Alma, Michigan. Nancy is a member of National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics
(FCTM), and the Orange County Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCCTM). Nancy is a member of the
Professional Educators Network of Florida (PEN).
Nancy has has two children, Ben (27) and Sarah (26). |
